To say that I practice religion would be a lie. Did I grow up in an extremely religious home? Yes! Maybe that is why I currently do not practice religion per se. My upbringing was so constricting that, as a young adult, I decided I would never make my kids (if I ever had any) do anything religious without first understanding why and also giving them a choice in the matter.
However, I am spiritual, I do believe in God or a force beyond our human understanding. My spirituality has carried me through some very tough experiences. My faith in the good and my hope in humanity stem from my spiritual walk with God.
